Why Tauri
- Small bundles — it uses the operating system's web view instead of shipping Chromium.
- Low memory use — ideal for tools that stay open all day.
- Rust backend — fast, safe access to the file system and native APIs.
When Electron is still the better choice
If you need identical rendering on every OS, rely heavily on Node.js libraries, or your team has no Rust experience, Electron remains a solid choice.
